Software : Image Ready 7.0

Hello Everybody!
This is just a supplement to my first tutorial here:

My Avatar

But this time, instead of using Macromedia Fireworks MX to animate, we'll be using ImageReady 7.0 (you really can't animate in PS7) since i think this comes bundled with Photoshop 7 (please do correct me if I'm wrong on this wink.gif ) and as per suggestion by Mr. Ali Roman biggrin.gif

In this tutorial, please go the the link above to create the layers needed in preparation for the animation.
Note: Disregard the last 3 steps since it applies to Fireworks MX dry.gif .

Let's start then cool.gif

[1] Following the tutorial on how to create the images to be used as layers, save these images into a new folder. There shouldn't be any other files inside this folder except the images to be used.

[2] Open ImageReady 7.0. Go to FILE-->IMPORT-->FOLDER AS FRAMES. Look for the new folder where your images are exclusively stored. Once chosen, click OK. The work area of your ImageReady should look something like this:

Note: To change the delay of your frames (so that it doesn't just loop so fast or so), click on the Loop Controls like so:

[3] Now make sure you save this file as a native .PSD file (Ctrl+S).

[4] Select the Animation Palette Option Menu button and from the list choose "Optimize Animation." At the next prompt select both "Bounding Box" and "Redundant Pixel Removal" options then hit OK.

[5] Finally, choose "Save Optimization As" to save the animation as a .GIF file.

There, the same result as the other tutorial laugh.gif . Hope this is helpful!

:: Cheers to everybody! ::

Fred
