To install the plugins for use with Photoshop the plugins need to be held in a location (Photoshop and most other applications have a plugins folder). If the plugins are installed in that folder, after restarting the application you will find them on the filters menu. You must copy this plugin file to the "Plug-Ins"or "Plugins" folder inside of your Photoshop directory
right click on the plugin file and select COPY ... Next, open the C: \ Program Files \ Adobe \ Photoshop \ Plug-Ins \ .. just open your "Plug-Ins" or "Plugins" folder and click PASTE to copy the plugin file into the "Plug-Ins" or "Plugins" folder
Now open Adobe Photoshop.. and you will find it on the Filter menu.
In all cases, please consult the documentation that comes with the plugin
So, to remember: Make sure you installed the plugin(s) into the "Plugins" or "Plug-ins" sub folder inside the Photoshop folder. After restarting the application, you will find it(s) on the Filter menu. These plugins can be applied to your layer, selection... and by the changing of the values you can take the best solution you like..
I attach a zip file that contains the last plugin I have pointed out: the "virtualPhotographer".. so you can make immediately a proof..
unzip the file.. then you can see a folder named "optikVerveLabs".. click on it select copy then paste it under Plugin folder in your photoshop program.. and after that restart your application.. you will find under Filter menu.. and use it.
(excuse me for my English)
Now I wish post an example using virtual Photographer.. Here there is the original image (mine)

and here there is the same image made using the glamour effect from this plugin:
