AUTHOR: bogdan_lupuro
DESCRIPTION: Do you want to make a nice animated 3D logo but you don't have any 3D softaware? Well corel and swish come to the rescue. This can be made pretty easy. This is what i will try to explain in this tutorial.

Let start:

<span style='font-size:14pt;line-height:100%'>I - Making images for animation</span>

1. With the elipse tool make a shape:

2. Add some text over it. I typed "DB":

3. Select the 2 objects and from arrange>combine or pressing ctrl+L combine the two objects.
.

4. Now from effects>extrude aply an extrude to the object:
--In Extrude camera select the following:
-----Small back with a depth of 3:
--In Extrude light put the light how you want play with them.
-----I have put them like in the picture:

The result of this step-----> .

5. It is time to export this file. Press ctrl+E and export it.

6. Now we have to rotate the object. From Extrude rotation change the values of x,y and z. In this example i changed only the y to make it simple and for everyone to understand. First we need to know that Corel works here with numbers from -100 to 100 and not how we aspected from 0 to 360. If you want to make more complex examples change the other x,z to but then things are more complicated.

Ok in our example we have to change only y. Start adding 10 to this value and you will obtain the following results:
Remember to export everytime you make change to the value. So in the end you will have 14 images:

--- y= 10 ---- y= 20 ----- y= 30 ------ y= 40 ----- y= 50 ----- y= 60 ------ y= 70

When you reach at y= 70 you need to enter negative values: starting with -60 and ending with -10:

-----y= -60 ---- y= -50 ------ y= -40 ----- y=-30 ------ y=-20 ------ y=-10 .

We are finished now with corel.

<span style='font-size:14pt;line-height:100%'>II - Creating the animation</span>

We need a animation software. You can use swish.

7. Open swish and create a new movie.

8. With insert image add all 14 images.

9. Now put Place and remove like in the file i have submitted. On frame with the last remove put:
CODE
gotoSceneAndPlay("<current scene>",1)

10. Save the movie and you are finishhed.

--> PREVIEW of the final result <--

I have attached the swish file of the animation.(the images aren't optimized)

Bogdan
