Title: How to make metalic looking text very easy
Software: Corel Photopaint
Author: bogdan_lupuro
Description: In this tutorial i'll try to explain how to make metalci looking text in Corel Photopaint.
Level: Beginer

http://articles.bogdesigns.com/article/met...-easy-30-1.html

Step 1

With the text tool insert a text with the color 40% black:

Step 2

From effects>noise>add noise add noise to the text with the following properties:
----Noise type: uniform
----Color Mode: intensity
----Level: 100
----Density: 50

Step 3

We need to lock object transparency from the bottom of the object docker .

But first what does "lock object transparency" ?

It makes some kind of boundaries. Lock Transparency is very useful and can be used instead of creating a mask, especially when a mask created from an object is just going to coincide with an object's boundary anyway.

Try doing the following step with and without lock transparency and you will se the difference.

Step 4

From effects>blur>motion blur aply a blur to the text with the following properties:
----Distance: 45
----Angle: 45

.

Step 5 and the last

Add a drop shadow with the folloeing properties:
----Start with the shadow presset: small glow
----shadow color: black
----Shadow dirrection: 0
----Shadow offset: 0
----Shadow transparency: 0
----Shadow feather: 12
----Shadow feather direction: outside
----Shadow feather edge: linear

.

And you are finished.
