Description:

In this tutorial I will give you a simple and easy tip for making plastic text. You may add details as much as you want but basic step that gives a plastic look, is the Radial Gradient ones.

Lets get started.


STEP 1:

1. Select simple text icon and write whatever you want in the text box.
2. Select any colour for the text.
3. Choose font "Comic Sans MS". It is best and typical plastic style.

Leave it as it is. See the following image:

STEP 2:

1. Copy the text mentioned above and paste it over the first one.
2. Group it as shape.
3. Select "Radial Gradient" from the "shape" tab. Apply the colour as I applied.
4. The left colour pointer should have the light version of the text colour with 100% Alpha.

5. The right colour pointer's alpha must be 0%.
6. Move it to the place where you want to give a plastic look.
7. Draw an ellipse over the shinning area in very light colour.
8. Fix its Alpha to 30%

NOTE:

You can apply this method on any shape/design you want. The quality will be same.
