Step 1:
Open your image with the car. I use this:
Step 2:
From the object docker duplicate the image:
Step 3:
Using one of the selection tools mask the portion of the car wich color will be changed.( i recomend the Magic Wand Mask tool wich you can obtain by pressing W on your keyboard):
Step 4:
Select the merge mode to Color:
Step 5:
Select one filling type and color and fill it and the remove the mask and you are done. Play with the filling types. Here aretwo results:
