Description:-
This tutorial will guide you how to make water effect. By adding some more gradiends and shading that could be improved. That is what we are going to make:-

Water Effect

The swi of the steps mentioned below is attached.

Lets get started step by step:-

Step 1:-

1. Draw a bezier shape by selecting the “Bezier Tool” just like below.
2. Select any color close to the water from the “Shape Tab”, then goto “Color Tab” and select “Custom”, insert “50” in that box.
See this image that could help you out while applying this method:-

Step 2:-

1. Copy the bezier shape we made recently and paste it in the scene, now flip it horizontally and combine them just like in the image below:-

Step 3:-

That is the most important step of that effect. If there would be a little gap between the distance then it would be jerky, so be careful.

1. Group the above 2 bezier shapes as “Sprite”.
2. Insert “Move” effect on the first frame of that sprite.
3. Duration depends on how you want but normally I chose “180” so insert “180” as the duration.
4. Select the preview frame of the effect from the timeline.
5. Hold CTRL and drag the whole sprite to left or right where you want the water flow.
6. You have to drag the sprite equal to the one of bezier shapes combined together.
See the following image:-

7. The most important step is that start the “Move” effect where there is the start of the sprite’s animation in the scene. Like that:-

If you would drag the sprite to the end, then it would be jerky, it would have a big jump.
Now you have the following result:-

Water Effect

Final:-

Its up to you that how many waves you want, you can copy this sprite and paste in the scene also can include new look by flipping it horizontally and vertically. Also you can make it heavy by including the same sprite frame by frame. The smoke and radial gradient rectangle "50" custom off can be included.

Hope it would help you!

Regards,

@Zahra
